Ageing Well with CAKE
Ageing Well Event | Creative Fuse North East | 28th February 2018 | Centre for Life, Newcastle
As part of the quest I set myself to keep to date with the challenges the growing ageing population is bringing to my professional work (see Sarah’s Notebook Dementia Friendly Signage | Part 1, posted 24th February 2018) I attended Ageing Well at The Centre for Life in Newcastle last week.
The event, in association with the regions Universities, raised many of the challenges our growing ageing population will bring with a positive tone. Challenges bring opportunities for innovation, often via collaboration and knowledge exchange (CAKE).
Speakers included Graham Armitage from the National Innovation Centre for Ageing, Newcastle University and Bella Smith from the Celebrating Age project at Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (MIMA), University of Teesside.
