Proton Beam Centres | Signage in Development

We are delighted to announce our appointment, in collaboration with JDDK Architects, to develop the signage for Proton Partners International’s new specialist cancer treatment centres across the UK. Proton Partners International offers proton beam therapy to cancer patients from both private and NHS referrals.

We have a proven track record in the delivery and installation of wayfinding and signage for specialist healthcare facilities. Our focus is always on the fact that the environment in which people are treated for an illness is vitally important and must work hard to reduce any additional potential stress when patients move between locations.

Proton Partners International is developing state-of-the-art treatment centres across the UK to provide access to the pioneering cancer treatment. The first centre is set to open in Newport, South Wales, in early February.

We’re delighted to be working with JDDK again. We first worked them in 1995 on the The Riverside Centre in North Shields. This project was an early wayfinding scheme influenced by the innovative design work coming out of the United States that I was learning about at the time.

JDDK have worked collaboratively with Picto on a number of projects, we have consistently received a high level of service from design to installation and clients have always been delighted with the end product — Kevin Turbull, Director, JDDK

Picto’s completed healthcare projects include St Columba’s Hospice in Edinburgh (also with JDDK Architects), The Endeavour Unit at James Cook University Hospital, St Benedict’s Hospice in Sunderland and The Radiotherapy Centre at Colchester Hospital.
